of the City Address & Luncheon

Abernethy Center, 606 15th Street, Oregon City
Throughout 2011 Oregon City has been a city “under
construction”. The Arch Bridge, “Jughandle” and Main Street are the
major construction projects that come to mind. However, when it comes to
issues like the former Blue Heron mill, annexation issues, and the lack
of development in the areas around the college and the high school,
there is much more “under construction” in Oregon City than what
meets the eye. There have been a few “bumps in the road” for Oregon City
but a great deal of potential is just around the corner. No doubt that
Mayor Doug Neeley has an optimistic view of Oregon City’s future but we
will all need to commit to being part of the team that gets us there.
