Simply put, there’s just no better way to be connected to the business community of Oregon City than membership in the Chamber of Commerce. From a four-year member’s perspective, it’s one of the best investments of our advertising dollars. It pays for itself. ~ William Gifford, smALL FLAGs

Connecting Businesses and Customers through Networking

Good Morning Oregon City (GMOC) is one of our Chambers’ most successful programs. Between 50 and 85 Chamber members meet at area businesses each Wednesday from 7:30 – 9:00 am. It’s a great opportunity to network with friendly businesspeople and develop relationships in the process.

Chamber After Hours is a relaxed networking gathering at different area businesses after work. This provides an opportunity for those unable to attend morning networking events. We will meet February, April, July and December the third Thursday of the month from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. Light refreshments are offered.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies are a service the Chamber provides to celebrate our members who have opened a new business, expanded their current location or moved to a new location. City dignitaries join with Chamber Board Members and Ambassadors to cut the ceremonial ribbon with our over-sized scissors. Networking, refreshments and door prizes add to the festivities.

Speed Networking is held occasionally during the year in place of a regular GMOC and is dedicated to fast-paced networking. Four to five rotations give you the opportunity to share more about yourself and your business while learning more about 24 to 30 fellow Chamber members.

Small Business Showcase is an opportunity for Chamber members who would like to host a GMOC but do not have a location that can accommodate 50 to 85 people. Four to six Chamber members co-host and receive a table to display their materials and approximately five minutes to promote their business. These showcases are scheduled at the request of participating members.

E-GMOCs are offered every few months, generally in months with a fifth Wednesday. Speakers on topics of interest to local business people provide information on a variety of topics. Hosted by Buy Local Oregon City these educational networking events are held at various locations depending on the capacity of the room.
