Teams and Task Forces

We pride ourselves being a member driven organization.

That means Oregon City Chamber members make the major decisions that move the organization forward. Members serve as participants in our teams and Task Forces both in serving and leading. This includes every team/task force from events, leadership up to and including the Board of Directors is lead and served by Oregon City Chamber members.  We value this member leadership as it helps members see the influence of their work in both the business community and community at large and showing strength in Return on Investment (ROI). It also serves to facilitate leadership development throughout the Chamber.  Each team is assigned a Chamber staff member to serve as a liaison; all leadership decisions are made by the members.  We take great pride in our member representatives and their efforts to better our organization and member experience and to improve opportunities for our business community.

Additionally, the Oregon City Chamber of Commerce is a valued partner with the City of Oregon City City of Oregon City's Historic Review Board (HRB) and Transportation Advisory Committee, the collaborative Beavercreek Employment Area project, as well as other short-term task forces and citizen involvement efforts, each with a Chamber member representing the organization.

No one organization can do everything to keep a vibrant community active, informed and connected. We are proud of our longstanding partnerships with Clackamas County, City of Oregon City, Clackamas Community College, Downtown Association, Oregon City School District, Police and Fire, Tourism, elected officials and many others. It is our honor to work with such respected leaders in all areas of our community and region.  Complete list of our Partners

Ambassadors

The Ambassadors, the largest standing committee in the Oregon City Chamber, is a group of business leaders committed to helping the Oregon City Chamber fulfill its mission of “working together to build a vibrant economy and enhance the quality of life for the Oregon City community”. Ambassadors are members in good standing who exhibit a willingness to serve in a way that promotes openness and professionalism and are familiar with Chamber membership benefits and can share those benefits with prospective members. Ambassadors are the backbone of the Chamber volunteer force and set the pace for professionalism and business etiquette to the membership. With an enthusiastic team of Ambassadors, who are leaders in their own right, they form a very effective and dedicated group of volunteers.

Ambassadors meet monthly on the third Tuesday to forecast and plan the weekly Good Morning Oregon City (GMOC) networking events, monthly Chamber After Hours and membership development. Must be a member of the Oregon City Chamber to participate in the Ambassador program.

Task Forces

Throughout the year opportunities arise for members to participate in event and project planning like Annual Awards Dinner, Leadership. Members of the Oregon City Chamber can step in participate and assist staff in building a specific event or project.
